MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace and her Democratic colleagues are squirming uncomfortably in the oppressive glass houses they are trapped in while defending Joe Biden against a sexual assault allegation.
She railed against the right on Friday for ‘running a smear campaign against the presumptive presidential nominee.” The former vice president is mired in scandal after former Senate staffer Tara Reade accused him of digitally penetrating her in 1993 when she worked in his office.
The host of Deadline White House has spent most of her time on air covering for the many shameless acts of her Democratic masters, but her pedestal, built on a foundation of hypocrisy and self righteousness, is crumbling.
She has always been one of the most deranged and obsessed haters of President Donald Trump. She wastes countless hours every week unloading on the president, even referring to him in 2018 as “the hamburger-eating, zamboni-riding loon that we see on TV and on Twitter.”
She contributes very little to the national discourse on any serious issue affecting Americans. Her tart tongue only underscores her intellectual vacuousness.
Wallace has dismissed and discredited Reade’s claims even though there is contemporaneous confirmation from associates, friends and even her own mother via a call to the Larry King Show in 1993 that she had an uncomfortable interaction with Biden.
Reade told Fox News recently that the treatment of Anita Hill during the 1991 confirmation of Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas cowed her into silence. Since she came forward she has been subjected to disturbing phone calls, online harassment and death threats.
“Let me just say this to you having once been a part of the Republican Party. The right isn’t running an intellectually honest operation to get to the bottom of whether Tara Reade was victimized. The right is running a smear campaign against Joe Biden,” Wallace claimed.
“The right wants to create some sort of equal playing field on which Donald Trump’s more than two dozen, or nearly two dozen accusers sort of have some company on the other side,” she theorized.
“The right is not running the same operation that the Democrats are running which is to try to … have some consistency around statements that I think just about every elected Democrat has made about women in the context of the #MeToo movement,” she added.
Wallace is pivoting wildly on her moral pedestal after tweeting in 2016, “I believe every woman coming forward,” when several assault accusations were directed against Trump.
The president attacked her in a Saturday tweet, calling her a “3rd rate lapdog.”
“She was thrown off The View like a dog, Zero TV Personas. Now Wallace is a 3rd rate lapdog for Fake News MSDNC (Concast),” Trump wrote. “Doesn’t have what it takes!”
Biden was interviewed by her MSNBC colleague Mika Brzezinski on Friday and he denied sexually harassing or assaulting Reade. ‘I’m saying unequivocally, it never, never happened,” he said.
Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez rejected calls for an independent investigation Sunday because “there is nothing there.”
Several other female Democratic Party stalwarts and former presidential candidates, who brazenly argued for years that “women must be believed,” have either said very little or openly taken Biden’s side in the sex scandal.
